It’s interesting to see how the Valentino rockstud embellishment continues to live on throughout the seasons. The metallic pyramid embellishment was introduced several years ago, and it’s been applied in many different ways over time.
I think I post a Valentino shoe with rockstuds at least one a month—I hope you’re not tired of seeing them! I love how the original large studs look on strappy pumps and flats, and now I’m beginning to crush on the new microstud. In addition to being used on the upper parts of shoes, this trim has been applied to the sides of the soles on Valentino shoes. It creates quite a unique effect on these otherwise plain moto boots.
If you love the studded look but not the high price, you can snag these boots by Vince Camuto in leather or velvet for much less. They look incredibly similar to the original, with a few subtle differences. The rise of the shaft is not as high and the laces are different, but all in all, they’re a great double-take option!
