Double-Take: Valentino Rockstud Ballerina

After Valentino introduced the rockstud style in 2010, the studded t-strap heels have continuously sold out practically every season. Almost every celebrity wore them, and it was a shoe for all fashionistas to covet. It took me a while to get accustomed to the original, but it was never a pair that I wanted. Since then, Valentino has released several other shoes with the square studs that caught my eye. I do love studded shoes, but I prefer the rockstud styles that have just a touch of embellishment. These flats fall right into that category. Even though I hardly wear flats (I’m more of a loafer gal), I can still appreciate these.

You can still find the Valentino flats on sale in pink on Bluefly, black lace on Ssense and MyTheresa, and black leather at Neiman Marcus. But if you’re looking for a more budget friendly addition, you’ll want to check out the Prilla by Vince Camuto.

They did a great job with this double-take. The Prilla flat looks incredibly similar, if not exactly the same, as the original rockstud ballerina. The only noticeable difference is that the black Prilla doesn’t have a contrasting trim and strap like the original black pair. I actually prefer the colors options of this style more than what Valentino offers—you can get them in black, gold, or silver grey. Vince Camuto shoes are incredibly comfortable in my opinion, so these are definitely worth grabbing!
