Double-Take: Manolo Blahnik Estro

A couple weeks ago, I was browsing through the remaining end-of-season sale items at Saks and was stopped in my tracks by the stunning bright blue color of the Manolo Blahnik Estro. When I asked to try them on in my size, the sales associate said these dainty sandals were flying off the shelf and only a few remained despite the fact that they were a new arrival. Once I slipped them on, I understood why they were so popular: these sandals are comfortable, sexy, and versatile. Unfortunately, for a shoe with barely anything to it, the price is steep! If you can swing it, you can grab a pair in rose golddenim, and a few other classic color ways on Nordstrom. But if you’d like something a little more budget friendly, here are two great options:

One of my go-to brands for double-takes is Schutz because I know their shoes are made really well. The Joseanna looks pretty much like the Estro, with a few tiny differences: the ankle tie and front strap are not as thick. They are almost as beautiful as the original! There are several color options available on Amazon. You can also get them at Nordstrom in black, on Zappos in cork, or in animal print on the Schutz site. Only problem? They’re not available in blue.

Steve Madden is another excellent provider of double-takes for those on a budget.  The Lyla sandals looks quite remarkably like the Estro, right down to the thickness of the ankle tie. You can get these in nude or rose gold on Amazon, and they also come in bright blue! However, the heel on these sandals is about half an inch higher than the original design. So if you struggle walking in 4 inch Manolos, you’re not going to do any better in these.
