Most of the the time, I prefer simple shoes with interesting structure and beautiful material that does the speaking. But occasionally I’ll come across an embellished pair that I absolutely love.
The Diva by Jimmy Choo is flashy, but in a more refined way. I love the pairing of nude suede and silver crystals, which gives the shoes a quiet profile yet while still making them suitable for an elegant evening. The intricate strap structure is also quite beautiful, and would make a great shoe even without the embellishment. You can find these lovely shoes at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I’ve been spotting many Jimmy Choo double-takes lately. Some of them are pretty good, including this embellished pair by Mix No. 6 that I spotted at DSW (also available in black). Although the platform is much higher than the Diva (it doesn’t look as refined), it looks quite nice in person and it’s a great option at a lower price point.
If you don’t like the look of a platform, the Wari from Vince Camuto has a similar look to the Jimmy Choo Diva but with lower profile. You can find this pair at Zappos, ShoeBox, Belk, and Bloomingdale’s.
