Double-Take: Jimmy Choo Annie

Every now and then, designers will release a shoe that becomes timeless—a style that is created and recreated in several colors and materials over the years, with no sign of being discontinued. The Annie 85mm from Jimmy Choo falls into this category. This heeled sandal is stunning in it’s simplicity, lady-like yet modern year after year.

If you want to invest in a classic, the Annie would be one of the first shoes that I’d suggest! I absolutely love these sandals in cobalt blue suede. My size was sold out, but I was lucky enough to find a pair on sale in soft pink velvet. They’re are also available in neutral colors like silver fabric, black, or nude suede.

Love the look but not the price? Not to worry! When an icon is born, elements of the style eventually trickle down or are recreated by other brands. In this case, a winner has emerged from Vince Camuto.

The Calinas sandal, currently only available at Nordstrom, is a dead ringer for Annie. In fact, when I first saw it out of the corner of my eye, I thought it was the real deal. I immediately tried them on. Although the colors are not exactly the same, both shoes are incredibly similar in shape and cut. Even the fit is similar: I found that both the Annie and Calinas ran slightly wide in the front area. Despite this, both pairs are incredibly comfortable to walk in because the heel is only 85mm (around 3.3 inches). Snap up a pair of these beauties before they’re gone!
