Double-Take: L.A.M.B Oxley

also in navy and black at DSW

I mentioned Gwen Stefani’s line, L.A.M.B. in a previous post. It consists of many unique and cutting-edge designs, all of which are made of quality materials. Some of the shoes in the line aren’t my style, but every now and then I spot pairs that I think are absolutely delectable. The Oxley pump stood out because of the very classic, sleek, yet edgy design. The thickness and large closures of the double ankle straps give the shoe an edgier feel than thin delicate straps would. The mini platform is also a nice touch with the pointy-toe. What I love the most though is the perfectly straight heel, which gives the shoe a powerful and striking silhouette.

ShoeCult Faye (NastyGal)

The ShoeCult double-take from NastyGal looks almost exactly like the L.A.M.B. Oxley, and is much more affordable. However, it’s not made of leather; the faux leather has more sheen to it, which I think takes a little bit away from the sleekness of the original design. They were also available in other colors, but those have sold out.
