Double-Take: Gianvito Rossi Geometric Bootie

Human feet aren’t geometric, they’re organic. So I always find it very interesting when a shoe is created with flat planes and geometric shapes. The bootie above by Gianvito Rossi is beautifully intricate, yet still uncomplicated because the pattern is created simply from a repeating grid.

I love the architectural and mod feel these booties create, and I think they would look fantastic worn with opaque black tights and a simple red shift dress. Of course, I wouldn’t break the bank for a pair of shoes no matter how much I love them, so here’s an alternative:
