There’s nothing more classic than a comfortable black ballerina flat. And even better is a flat with straps to help them stay on your feet.
I love the elastic ankle straps on these flats by Chloé; they make the flats look feminine, and also add a touch of sophistication because of the reference to tied ballerina slippers. I spotted these some time ago online (available on MyTheresa and Saks), and just recently found a great double-take at DSW:
This is probably the closest you can get to the Chloé flat while on a budget. The shoes look pretty identical, even down to the folded leather detail in the front. I should probably take a few minutes to try these on at some point, but I’m guessing they’ll be very comfortable. They have a lightly cushioned footbed, and the upper is soft leather. There are some great reviews on DSW!

This pair doesn’t have a square toe as the original Chloé design, but the design is still very simple and cute. I just wish they were made of real leather. You can get these at Urban Outfitters.
