I have mixed feelings towards shoes with a huge portion of elastic construction. On the one hand, they’re very comfortable and forgiving, but on the other hand, I feel like they will stretch out too quickly.
Chelsea boots never completely went away, but now their popularity is increasing again due to updated silhouettes, such as pointed toes and studded details. They also come in various heel heights, like the fantastic pair above by Saint Laurent. This heeled adaptation is just as classic as the original flat version.
I’m obsessed with all of Giuseppe Zanotti’s edgier styles. Because no matter how clunky or over-done heavy details can be on some designs, he always finds a way to implement them in a way that makes the shoe modern, sophisticated, sexy and cool all at the same time. I love this chunky chain detail, it really turns the shoes into a statement piece.
Chilly weather brings out the best in booties. There are fun, fashionable styles with a lot of height an attitude, and then there are down-to-earth, cool and casual styles that are just as great. Moto boots are one of those styles that will always be around; comfortable, edgy, yet classic and even sometimes sophisticated. This particular pair from Jimmy Choo is part of the 24:7 collection, which was launched with an assortment of iconic styles intended to take the woman from day to night with ease.
I wasn’t quite sure how I felt when wedge sneakers caught on as a trend. Nowadays, I just can’t get enough of them! But we all know I tend to lean more towards simple, classic, with just a touch of edge. So most of the wedge sneakers I see out there are way too much and don’t go with the majority of my casual looks. I love this pair by Giuseppe Zanotti.
I absolute love these amazing boots from Jimmy Choo; the color is fantastic, and the lattice detail is extremely unique, especially because it covers such a large area of the boot. I can just imagine wearing these with contrasting socks or tights underneath. Unfortunately, they retail at $2195 (Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks), which is about two and a half times the amount of my rent. So there’s no way I’ll be getting these anytime soon.
I think it’s pretty safe to say that I love studded boots, as long as the design isn’t over-the-top-biker-style. So when a friend at work walked in wearing these awesome boots by Steve Madden, I demanded a photo right away. In my opinion, they’re the epitome of fall boots: knee high, zippered, buckled, studded, and brown. She paired them wonderfully with knitted high socks and a skirt. Unfortunately, the boots are from a couple seasons ago so you can’t get the same exact pair, but I did manage to track down another great studded option, also by Steve Madden:
It’s that time of year again…summer sale season! Clearance stickers are popping up everywhere in stores, and online prices are dropping like crazy. There are a so many stunning styles out there, and it can be hard to sift through them all. I’ve put together a list of my favorite shoes on sale. And the best part? They’re all budget friendly at under $100!
It’s not brand new information that the barely-there ankle strap sandal is huge this season. And really, I can’t see why it wasn’t as popular before! I think it’s a very beautiful, classic, and timeless style. Every girl should have a pair in her closet! I posted earlier on how to find the perfect pair of ankle strap shoes for your legs, so this week I’m sharing one of the most popular shoes of the trend and how to find a pair that looks similar!
