Casadei-Leopard-Stretch-Fabric-Thong-Sandal

Double-Take: Casadei Stretch Sandal

Temperatures haven’t climbed up to a comfortable 70 degrees, so I haven’t taken my sandals out of storage yet. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been thinking about warm weather footwear! There’s nothing better than a well-made, light and comfortable sandal that stays on your feet. They’re available in leopard and multi.

Giuseppe-Zanotti-Chain-Strap-Sandal

Double-Take: Giuseppe Zanotti Chain T-Strap

I’m obsessed with all of Giuseppe Zanotti’s edgier styles. Because no matter how clunky or over-done heavy details can be on some designs, he always finds a way to implement them in a way that makes the shoe modern, sophisticated, sexy and cool all at the same time. I love this chunky chain detail, it really turns the shoes into a statement piece.

Double-Take: B Brian Atwood Linscott

B Brian Atwood Linscott (6pm
If done nicely, a shoe designed with mesh can look really cool. The Linscott pump by B Brian Atwood is a great example of a beautiful design using leather and mesh to create an illusion of floating elements. I love the perfectly straight heel, the delicate ankle strap, and the leaf-like details. I’m not sure how strong the mesh is, but this particular style looks like it’ll hold your foot securely. The price has been steadily dropping on 6pm (they originally retail for $450), which is actually good for those who’d prefer the real deal, but in case you’d like a more budget-friendly version, check out these from Anne Michelle:

Givenchy-Buckled-Sandal

Double-Take: Givenchy Buckled Sandal

Givenchy Buckled Sandal (Net-a-Porter, Barney’s)
There’s something very appealing about ankle-boot-sandal hybrids. They give off a very cool vibe. I think what I like most about them is that they can work across all four seasons; I’d love to pair these with some textured knit socks, tights, and a skirt on a chilly fall day. I also love the thick heel. Most people don’t find them chunky heels very flattering, but on my legs they really help balance out my small feet with my runner’s legs. And they’re much easier to walk in than pencil-thin heels! The designer price tag is quite hefty though, so I found some double-takes that are more wallet friendly:
