Jimmy-Choo-Anouk-Studded-Pump

Double-Take: Jimmy Choo Studded Anouk

Similar to the Manolo BB, the Jimmy Choo Anouk pump is another classic style. Pretty much every celebrity has been seen wearing a pair, and it’s easy to see why; the pump has a timeless shape and comes in various colors that can be worn with anything. But since I like classic with a twist, I’m more drawn to the studded Anouk. I love the little baby studs all over the shoe. It’s not quite punk, but it turns a basic black pump into something a little more unique. You can snag a pair on FarFetch, or check out some of the great double-takes I’ve found.

Alexander-Wang-Aminata-Red-Crocodile-Heels

Double-Take: Alexander Wang Aminata

I love seeing shoes in a bold, striking hue. Combine this with a sleek design and you’ve got a winner. The Aminata heel from Alexander Wang has a rather simple silhouette, but the crocodile texture really makes the red color pop. You can get these at Farfetch and Barney’s Warehouse.

Giuseppe-Zanotti-Chain-Strap-Sandal

Double-Take: Giuseppe Zanotti Chain T-Strap

I’m obsessed with all of Giuseppe Zanotti’s edgier styles. Because no matter how clunky or over-done heavy details can be on some designs, he always finds a way to implement them in a way that makes the shoe modern, sophisticated, sexy and cool all at the same time. I love this chunky chain detail, it really turns the shoes into a statement piece.

Chloe-Colorblock-Ankle-Strap-Sandal

Double-Take: Chloé Ankle Strap Sandal

Chloe Banded Ankle Strap Sandal (Farfetch, Ssense, Barney’s)
I know it’s getting close to fall, but I’m still completely enamoured with simple and sleek ankle strap sandals. I’ve been lusting after this color blocked pair from Chloe all season; it’s understated and modern, and perfect for neutral outfits. Of course, the price isn’t so perfect for my budget, and I can’t believe I came across a double-take so close to the end of the summer season:
Chinese Laundry Balance (Zappos, Amazon, Piperlime)
Chinese Laundry is pretty good at offering the latest trends at lower prices. These sandals have the exact same shape as the pair by Chloe, and are even crafted in neutral colors. But if you don’t like the monochrome look, there are fun colors options as well!
Giuseppe-Zanotti-Gold-Metal-Heel-Pump

Double-Take: Giuseppe Zanotti Metal Heel Pump

Giuseppe Zanotti shoes are always eye-catching. They’re often embellished with rich detail such as metal elements, animal prints, and crystals, ensuring that they ooze sex and glamour. He’s quite good at turning a simple design into something fabulous. I love the sculptural detail of the metal heeled pumps below, and it’s a good thing that there are double-takes out there for those of us who can’t pay the retail price:

Giuseppe Zanotti Pump
Miss KG (Dorothy Perkins
As much as I love shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti, I actually prefer this double-take by Miss KG. Even though the platform is exposed, which I don’t like, the heel doesn’t curve inwards as much, which I love. I’ve always preferred a straight heel to a curved heel.

Giuseppe Zanotti Jake Sandal (Farfetch; also a peep-toe version)
Giuseppe Zanotti designed several styles with the curved metal heel, including sandals and some booties. Although this particular shoe is a bit wild for my taste, the design is quite fun and definitely eye catching.

Dollhouse Ultimate Sandal (Urban OG in black and animal)
The Ultimate sandal by Dollhouse is a great double-take of the Giuseppe Zanotti Jake, right down to the black and white animal print straps. The style and coloring is almost identical, and it comes in other colors as well!

Ten Classic pumps under $100.

There’s one style that absolutely every woman, shoe-lover or not, must have in her closet: a classic pump. Since a classic pump is the go-to shoe, sticking to neutrals is your best bet; the most practical color for a classic pump is black. But once you have a pair or two of those, feel free to branch into brights!
Although it seens classic pumps would be easy to find since they’re always in style, it can get tricky to locate the perfect pair. There’s a lot to consider: material, heel height, brand, vamp and heel shape, color, and price. It took me a long time to find the perfect black pumps, so I created a handy list of some great classic styles all under $100 to help other shoe-lovers out there. I’m a suede-addict so my first instinct was to find those, but I also made sure to include pairs made of other materials.
