Tuesday Shoesday: Standout

Aldo Nyderrarien Sparkle Ankle Boot

I know it’s only the beginning of November, but my mind is already jumping ahead to the holiday season. And there’s no better way to accessorize for those seasonal celebrations than with a pair of sparkling ankle boots! This pair by Aldo caught my eye as I passed by the store window at the King of Prussia Mall. They are such a great statement piece. I love pairing shimmering footwear with simpler dresses because they stand out so much more. However, they didn’t come home with me because I had already gotten a sequin dress. One glitzy purchase was enough that day!

Shoe of the Day: Classy Evening

I have to admit, I wasn’t a fan of Coach until their designs started heading in the high-fashion direction. With their printed fabrics shouting the brand’s name, I always connected Coach with the logomania trend of the 90s. If there’s one thing I hate, it’s having a brand’s name or logo splashed across my clothing and accessories. But the recent change in style has made me pay more attention to the Coach brand. I’ve since spotted several shoe designs that I love, including the elegant black and gold Lytton pumps above (available in two colors on 6pm). They are classy, delicate, and sophisticated; a far cry from the logo-print sneakers, sandals, and handbags that the brand is more recognized for. Needless to say, I’m excited to see where Coach will go in the next couple years.

I love taking trips to TJ Maxx, even if it is just to browse. There are two stores about thirty minutes away from me that have The Runway, so I’m a bit spoiled in terms of finding luxe merchandise for less. If I go at a good time, right when they get new shipments or when they do the first round of clearance stickers, I can find a lot of great deals. Unfortunately, many of these deals are still outside my budget. But if I ever wanted to splurge or spoil myself, this is where I’d go.
