I literally stopped in my tracks when I spotted these BCBGeneration pumps at Macy’s. I’ve said before that I can’t resist shoes (or clothing for that matter) in a bold bright cobalt hue, and these drew me like a moth to a flame. Don’t they make you think of mermaids and exotic tropical fish? I love the subtlety textured, multi-colored iridescent leather…definitely the statement piece of an outfit. You can find these at your local Macy’s (they’re not online) or online at Belk, Dillard’s, and Amazon.
This photo doesn’t feature the shoes I’m wearing, but it does showcase the fantastic Joe’s Jeans I scored at TJ Maxx last week. Lucky for me (dangerous actually), there is a TJ Maxx on my way home from work. So, naturally, I stop in often during the week. I’m a sucker for cobalt blue, and I spotted these leather pants a little while ago for $80 (still a great deal for leather). But I waited, and the price eventually dropped to a staggering $15 with a yellow sticker, at which point I snatched them up without thinking twice. Usually when something has been on the racks for a while and gets marked this low, it tends to have some flaws; some of the other Joe’s Jeans had snags, stains, or tears. These, however, are perfectly flawless! The only thing wrong with them? They were accidentally labeled size 10 instead of size 2. I drove home with a big smile on my face.
I absolutely love the color of these Christian Louboutin ankle boots! As I’ve mentioned before, I’m drawn to cobalt blue shoes. I’m not entirely sure why because blue isn’t even my favorite color. It probably has something to do with how well cobalt pops against dark or neutral-colored clothing.
When I first spotted these Kate Spade sneakers on the DSW clearance racks in NYC, I thought, “Oh okay, a pair of blue sneakers” and passed by them to try on some other pairs. But I came back to them because I’m always drawn to a bright cobalt color (like these and these). Then I tried them on…and fell in love! The color pops so well against both light and dark colors. They also felt extremely comfortable on my feet the first time I put them on, meaning they wouldn’t require a “breaking in” period (which I don’t believe any shoe should have!). Although I was considering purchasing two different pairs of heels, both of those went back on the shelf and these lovely blue suede shoes came home with me instead (after a little coaxing from my friend). And honestly, these are probably one of the best shoe purchases I’ve made (I probably say that a lot) because they’re practical, comfortable, and still fashionable!

It was impossible to walk by Aldo without noticing these electric blue ankle booties. The color is so eye-catching, and the placement of the zippers gives them some edge. When I first saw these online, I wasn’t blown away; however, they look way cooler in person. I happened to be wearing a pair of dark pencil jeans when I tried them on, and the bright blue really popped. I’ve never had luck with the fit of shoes from Aldo, but these were actually great! Not too narrow, not too short. The only thing they lack is cushioning at the ball of foot, which can easily be added. I’m not ready to spend the money on them right now, but perhaps when they go on sale I’ll reconsider it!
These seriously adorable Can Can heels are from the FW 2011/2012 Sergio Rossi collection. They found their way into my hands as an impulse buy during a DSW Luxe 810 sale. And as much as I adored them, I couldn’t let them stay. So I snapped a couple pictures and made the rational decision to return them. I’m not sure how possible it would be to track them down again, as they were the last pair online and I returned them at a store. But there once was a time that DSW Shoephoria helped me get my hands on a pair of lust-worthy boots, so it’s possible that they can help you track down a pair of shoes too!
