Double-Take: Christian Louboutin Sakouette
Although I personally don’t wear the style much, I love the influence menswear has had on women’s shoes. My favorite style is the smoking slipper.
I absolutely love the color of these Christian Louboutin ankle boots! As I’ve mentioned before, I’m drawn to cobalt blue shoes. I’m not entirely sure why because blue isn’t even my favorite color. It probably has something to do with how well cobalt pops against dark or neutral-colored clothing.
I fell in love with these ankle boots the first time I saw them. And I almost never fall in love with Louboutin styles unless they’re extremely classic and simple. But something about these called out to me; I’m pretty sure it’s the super-cool woven strap detail on the front with the added buckles.
When I spotted this gorgeous shoe from Charles Jourdan at DSW in NYC (34th Street), I wanted to whip out my credit card and take them home with me. When the whole PVC shoe thing happened, Christian Louboutin utilized it in several designs in a way that created illusions on the foot. The best example of this is the Un Bout pump; it was everywhere on the red carpet and style blogs. There are also many double-takes, though I haven’t come across a really […]
When talking about designer shoes, most people’s minds jump immediately to Christian Louboutin. And although some of his styles are way too much for my taste, I do love his more classic styles and the occasional fantasy creation. The Summerissima grabbed my attention because of the extremely versatile color palette and shape. I love a […]
The story goes that Christian Louboutin incorporated the iconic red sole in 1992 when an assistant with him was painting her nails; he grabbed the nail polish from her and painted the soles of his shoes. But I believe the story goes further back than that. Louboutin began sketching shoes in his early teens, and after […]
