Casadei Patent Multi Strap Pump

Double-Take: Casadei Multi-Strap Pump

It’s no secret that I absolutely adore Casadei shoes. From season to season, there’s always something new, fantastic, and unexpected in the collections. I especially love the styles that have both lady-like elegance and edgier details. The sleek iconic blade heel really balances out the multiple tiny straps in this pair. I think the design evokes a little bit of bad-ass energy as well as a sophisticated feel. They’re sold out by now (last seen on Selfridges) but I managed to find a great double-take by Schutz instead.

Double-Take: Elizabeth and James Sand Pump

I first spotted these amazing pumps by Elizabeth and James back in August at Marshalls. They were on clearance for $79 at the time, which is quite a bargain compared to the prices you find online. Even though they are considered “past season,” these pumps are suitable for any time because of the modern, simple, and elegant style.

Double-Take: Jimmy Choo Youth Biker Boot

Chilly weather brings out the best in booties. There are fun, fashionable styles with a lot of height an attitude, and then there are down-to-earth, cool and casual styles that are just as great. Moto boots are one of those styles that will always be around; comfortable, edgy, yet classic and even sometimes sophisticated. This particular pair from Jimmy Choo is part of the 24:7 collection, which was launched with an assortment of iconic styles intended to take the woman from day to night with ease.

15 Must-Have Sneakers

I’ve been slightly obsessed with sneakers lately. I remember a time when cool, fashionable sneakers for women were harder to find. Nowadays, you can spot them everywhere! The only problem I have with this is that some designs are becoming slightly over the top, such as studded to the point they become weapons, or a ridiculous clash of textures and colors. But for the most part, there are some really amazing and unique styles out there in addition to the timeless classics. One of my favorite pairs is the Marc by Marc Jacobs lace high top above (Lord & Taylor, SSense, Bloomingdale’s, Zappos). I love the touch of femininity the lace adds, and the peek of blue among the black. I started looking for few pairs of fun styles for myself, and I’ve come across so many different options. It was quite hard to narrow the selection, but I’ve picked out my top 15 choices that will add a little pizazz to your casual look.

Brian-Atwood-Hester-Strappy-Sandal

Double-Take: Brian Atwood Hester

If you’re looking for whimsical and glamorous shoes with sex appeal, look no further than Brian Atwood. He was the first American ever hired by Versace, and he fine-tuned his skills for 9 years before conceiving his own label. Atwood’s shoes are regularly worn by celebrities on the red carpet, and he also has a slightly (but just barely) more affordable diffusion line, B by Brian Atwood, that us budget shoe-lovers can have access to. It’s usually easier to get your hands on his shoes if they’re on sale, which I’ve seen at Nordstrom Rack, Off Fifth, and Last Call. Or you can keep an eye out for double-takes. The Helice sandal from Ivanka Trump looks very similar to Hester by Brian Atwood. Both pairs have an ankle strap, a straight heel, and crossed straps at the toe. The major difference is the heel shape and the fact that the center straps on the Helice cross while the center straps on the Hester join together. Either way, both are very nice, but one is much more affordable. Plus, Ivanka Trump shoes are high quality and usually quite comfortable, so you’re still getting a great pair of shoes!

Double-Take: Ralph Lauren Collection Cosima

 Ralph Lauren Collection Cosima (DSW
I firmly believe that one pair of black boots is not enough. Maybe it seems silly to some people, but to me, they’re all different. A girl needs a pair of classic leather boots, and she also needs a pair with buckles and straps and zippers, a pair with high heels, and pair with low heels, a pair with different materials, the list goes on. I personally own only 3 pairs of black boots. Some would say that’s too many, but I think I’m one pair short: a pair of dressier knee-high boots. And if I could get them, I’d definitely buy the Cosima by Ralph Lauren. Since they’re sold out (and out of my budget anyway), I looked around for a double-take. I found the Osaka boot by Cordani, which is still out of my budget but a very nice alternative to the Cosima. The beautiful ankle detail looks very similar, the only noticeable difference is the thickness of the heel. Unless these drop to $100 or less, I won’t be getting them, so my search for a dressy leather knee-high boot continues.
