I have mixed feelings towards shoes with a huge portion of elastic construction. On the one hand, they’re very comfortable and forgiving, but on the other hand, I feel like they will stretch out too quickly.
These simple and stunning sandals by Azzedine Alaïa are an exception…the shape of the shoe is really great, especially the sensual curve of the leather section in the back. I love the thick straps across the foot because they keep the foot comfortably secure. But I would never pay the full price, it’s more than twice my rent! Luckily, I found these two double-takes:
