Tuesday Shoesday: Tied Up

If I could, I’d wear heels all the time because love them so much. But we all know there are many situations where that kind of footwear is completely impractical. Walking around an arboretum would be torturous in heels! However, I don’t let long walking trips deter me from wearing stylish shoes. In my opinion, comfortable flat sandals are always better when compared to flip-flops. I opted for these tie-up gladiator sandals by Pour La Victoire (found at TJ Maxx about 4 years ago) because they have substantial cushioning in the sole and, once tied, they’re very secure on the feet. They were a great choice; my brother and I walked around for about 3 hours and my feet didn’t complain! Plus, they really pulled the outfit together.

Double-Take Casadei Blade

I know I’ve said it before (and I’ll probably say it many more times), Casadei has always been on the top of my list of favorite luxe shoe designers. My favorite pair is the Blade, which has become an iconic style seen on many celebrities. The shape simply oozes sex and power, and what woman doesn’t love a shoe which says that? If I ever have $600+ to spare, I might just indulge and purchase a pair of the 4.5″ Blade pumps…but for now, take a look at the double-take options:

The Enzo Angiolini brand always hasa great selection of shoes, and I’ve noticed lately that they also have many shoes that seem to be “inspired by” luxury designer brands. Most Enzo Angiolini shoes are very comfortable, and available in a wide price range. You can get the Infiniti (in black and natural on Heels.com, 6pm, or Nordstrom.

Tuesday Shoesday: Red Soles

Can anyone guess who these red soled shoes are by? I actually ended up returning these beauties (wah!) because it just so happened that I ruined my only running sneakers a couple days later and had to get new ones. So these went back, and a pair of bright purple running shoes came home with me instead. I did go back to the store a week later to see if the pumps were still there but it turns out they were gone. And I wasn’t too surprised, they really are a standout pair! I guess a shoe-rendipity moment didn’t happen with this pair, but I’m sure there will be others!
