I love simple sandals with a block heel, toe strap, and ankle strap. They just look so grounded and low-maintenance. A block heel makes taller shoes easier to walk in because you don’t lose your balance as easily.
A great pump always makes any outfit look sharp and sophisticated. I love these by Kurt Geiger for the slim profile, needle-thin heel, and low vamp. The Ellen reminds me of these gorgeous but elusive Sergio Rossi pumps at DSW. Although I already have a beautiful pair of classic black pumps from Vince Camuto, these are begging to join the others in my closet…I’ll be keeping an eye on the price!
Classic pointed toe pumps will never go away. The shape has changed in subtle ways over time, and I think some of the best silhouettes are from the past couple years. Although a white pump doesn’t seem like a practical choice, it’s definitely edgy, classic, and sure to stand out. I love these pumps by Saint Laurent because there’s something about the silhouette that looks more modern and updated than some of the others out there.
We’ve heard that every dark cloud has a silver lining, but the golden lining on these beautiful pumps by Casadei (available on Shoescribe) is step up from that. I think white and gold is a stunning combination and will never go out of style. It’s a classic mix that has been around for ages. These would look amazing worn with a white sheath dress, some sun-kissed skin, and a little golden clutch.
You can always count on Saint Laurent to provide beautiful classics with an edge for the fashion world. From the beginning, the Saint Laurent brand conjured images of gender-bending sophistication, renegade French chic, and a balanced mix of the high and low.
A gold shoe is striking, and doesn’t have to be worn only on special occasions. One of the best ways to make a statement is to wear evening shoes during the day. Luxe materials and details like rhinestones, satin, and velvet can easily pair with simple day dresses and jeans, you just have to be brave and confident with your style.
Sorry about the low quality image (my hand was shaking at the awkward ankle). The tone does kind of suit the style of the boots though, doesn’t it? A bit of vintage touch. Anyway, I spotted these gorgeous Stuart Weitzman Spat boots at Nordstrom Rack for the amazing clearance price of $174 (compared to $695 retail). The gold buttons sparkled at me from the shelves and I just had to try them on. They are very comfortable, and extremely easy to walk in despite the height of the heel. There’s a lot of extra cushioning inside, and the thicker heel makes them stable. Although the deal was too good to pass up, I did put them back on the shelves because they were slightly too large on my feet, even with thick socks on. But if you’re lucky enough to snag them, they’re sure to get you many compliments!
There are so many great shoes from Saint Laurent, it’s hard to choose a favorite! The Tribute pumps and sandals are quite popular, but I actually prefer some of the other styles, like the Paris pumps. Saint Laurent does a great job of merging classic, edgy, sexy, and modern elements all into one design.
