It’s fantastic when the heel becomes a focal point on a pair of pumps, and Casadei has a great reputation for that. The iconic Blade pump is instantly recognizable for it’s sleek and modern shape. For the fall 2013 collection, Casadei took a walk on the wild side with animal prints and chunkier heels. This sculpted zebra heel is covered in pony hair and creates a beautiful contrast with the black suede upper. It came in several styles, including pumps, ankle boots, t-strap pumps, and jaw-dropping thigh high boots.
It’s no secret that I absolutely adore Casadei shoes. From season to season, there’s always something new, fantastic, and unexpected in the collections. I especially love the styles that have both lady-like elegance and edgier details. The sleek iconic blade heel really balances out the multiple tiny straps in this pair. I think the design evokes a little bit of bad-ass energy as well as a sophisticated feel. They’re sold out by now (last seen on Selfridges) but I managed to find a great double-take by Schutz instead.
The much anticipated fall-winter fashion season is sprinting towards us. Now that it’s officially September, I’m scrambling to fall great transition pieces and new winter staples. Earlier today, Casadei unveiled their new collection, an intriguing mix of opposites: classic elegance and eclectic energy. The beautiful Venice pump jumped out at me immediately. I adore the baroque floral detailing along the heel, quite a departure from Casadei’s signature blade style. And the purple suede has just enough depth to offset the gold metal beautifully. I’m officially in love! You can see the rest of the collection here.
I love to pair these stunning Casadei pumps with bright colors and sleek accessories. This pair was my first dip into high-end footwear. They came into my possession about two years ago when I won RueLaLa’s super fun ShoeLaLa competition with a photo of my favorite MK sandals. I’ve bought and sold many shoes since then, but these aren’t going anywhere anytime soon! I usually go for shoes with four or five inch heels, but I chose the lower version of the Blade pump because I wanted to wear them comfortably. Definitely one of the more sensible choices I made!
We’ve heard that every dark cloud has a silver lining, but the golden lining on these beautiful pumps by Casadei (available on Shoescribe) is step up from that. I think white and gold is a stunning combination and will never go out of style. It’s a classic mix that has been around for ages. These would look amazing worn with a white sheath dress, some sun-kissed skin, and a little golden clutch.
Temperatures haven’t climbed up to a comfortable 70 degrees, so I haven’t taken my sandals out of storage yet. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been thinking about warm weather footwear! There’s nothing better than a well-made, light and comfortable sandal that stays on your feet. They’re available in leopard and multi.
I’m currently in-lust with these amazing pin-up pumps by Casadei (perhaps a season too late, but that just means they can be found on sale now!). The FW12-13 collection was built around this particular pump and included a rang of silhouettes, including leather netting and ruched leather details. Taking inspiration from pin-up style, the pump was designed to be feminine, romantic, and seductive. I love the dipped front and almond toe; there’s no hint of toe cleavage with these! It’s all about curves of the foot and ankle. I personally prefer the version without the platform (still available on Yoox in black and other colors) as it’s more feminine, but the platform version (in grey here) looks beautiful as well!
I don’t usually like shoes with overly girlish details; I hate big bows, and I’m not too keen on flowers either. But occasionally I’ll come across a pair that is just plain beautiful, like these two floral styles from Casadei. The detailing is so exquisite that even the blade heels look less industrial and more delicately feminine. I especially love the gold and silver against the black, it gives the shoes a very glamorous and vintage look. I love how the motif was implemented on both the bootie and pump.
My favorite styles off the runways.
Even though it seems as though summer flew by in a flurry of summer dresses and sandals, I’m excited to start wearing fall shoes again, especially boots! Before each season starts, I browse the Accessories Index on Style.com for upcoming trends and to pick out my favorite styles. Since I can’t have them all, I’ll be keeping an eye out for similar styles or double-takes!

We’ve all head the story of King Midas who was able to turn anything he touched into gold. This is pretty much what I think a pair of heels would like like if he were to get his hands on them. I’m completely smitten with these gorgeous golden pumps by Casadei, which are currently on sale on RueLaLa.
