If you’re looking for shoes with an emphasis on form, materials and style rather than decoration and trends, Camilla Skovgaard shoes are for you. Her footwear is gaining recognition for the stellar combination of contrasting elements. Fluidity and severity paired with edginess and sophistication result in unique and interesting shoes with a lot of wow-factor. One of her trademarks is a saw-tooth sole, which adds an interesting twist to a lot of her more classic styles.
Although I love many of her styles, I’m not exactly in love with the price. I’ve seen other shoes that are inspired by her look (like this pair from Zara) but the Dallas from Sole Society is one of the first that has the same upper structure as a Skovgaard shoe. It’s strikingly similar to the Corner sandal (some sizes available on Gilt). The heel and sole is quite different, which I actually don’t mind because it’s the color-blocked look that I like. The Dallas even comes in other color combinations, and they’re much more affordable!
